Training Information:
Helium is a global, distributed network of Hotspots that create public, long-range wireless coverage for LoRaWAN-enabled IoT devices. Hotspots produce and are compensated in HNT, the native cryptocurrency of the Helium blockchain. The Helium blockchain is a new, open source, public blockchain created entirely to incentivize the creation of physical, decentralized wireless networks. Today, the Helium blockchain, and its tens of thousands of Hotspots, provide access to the largest LoRaWAN Network in the world.
Training Information:
Building The People's Network and mining HNT is easy with a Hotspot. With iHub Global, we make it easy. See our Getting Started training to reserve your hotspot from iHub.
Training Information:
From scooter and pet tracking to environmental sensing, and crucial healthcare monitoring solutions, a new class of devices finally have a way to connect.
Training Information:
The People’s Network uses two units of exchange to achieve a Burn-and-Mint equilibrium: HNT and Data Credits.
Training Information:
The distribution of HNT changes over time to align incentives with the needs of the network. In the early days, a higher proportion of HNT is allocated to Hotspot owners for building and securing coverage. As the network grows, Hotspots earn more for transferring device data on the network while Helium Inc. and investors earn less. After 20 years, distributions no longer adjust and remain fixed.
Training Information:
What happens when minting isn't able to reward Hotspots? Net Emissions effectively recycle a pool of 'burned' HNT available for use in rewarding Hotspots, when there are no longer enough provided through minting.
