Gig Worker Update - Accelerate Advance Review

We are 4 weeks into the new Treasury and Advance program and have begun seeing a steady flow on the IRS Account Transcripts which are necessary to determine whether a client is eligible for the advance or not.  We have had instances where the IRS has been taking longer to process or rejected the 4506T as the address verified through KYC was not the same as the last TR that was submitted.  2 weeks ago, we updated that piece requesting confirmation from the claimant on the address. 

We have been working on finding a solution to allow clients interested in accelerating the advance a way to get us these Account Transcript forms faster yet still in a way that our technology can review, validate, and confirm the forms.  We are super excited to share that we can now review and accept Account Transcripts from the taxpayer’s IRS portal which they can pull in mere minutes.  Please see the link and screen shots below on how you can guide / educate the clients on how to retrieve these items.  We will need 20,21, & 22’s account transcripts to review.

Please note that regardless of when and how we receive the account transcripts we still must fully process and send off the signed amended filings to the IRS.  Without this the file cannot be reviewed for Advance eligibility.  We also will still request and review the account transcripts from the IRS directly.

Once someone’s file is complete, we will review eligibility and the client will either receive an email with their advance loan documents and a final bank account verification or notice that they owe the IRS and not eligible for the advance, we will move them to standard Treasury and continue to track their claim.  (I will send these email samples out later today)

Below is the link to the client portal at the IRS.  You would create or login with your ID.Me account.  Good news is that it’s a similar quick process that we use with Persona to verify ID and facial scans so super quick.
